If you think about it, art is non-essential.
We don’t need it to survive—but we do need it to really live. Art can say what words can’t, heal us and expand our consciousness. As my kids begin another school year, I’m reminded again that transitions (even the most difficult ones) give us the incredible opportunity to experience life with more sensitivity and respond by expressing our feelings creatively.
Instead of sharing a blog with you this week, I wanted to mix it up and share a video with you that I created for The Canvas Project, a video series on the creative process that I hosted in my Facebook group Creative Uncovery. It’s the episode that’s most personal to me because art (both my own and others’) has helped heal me in my darkest seasons.
Wishing you a week full of expression, healing and grace!
